Job Description
- 4-6 years overall, with a minimum of Min. 4 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX / D365 Finance & Operations implementations, along with strong domain knowledge in Finance & Accounting.
- We are looking for a Finance Functional Consultant D365 Finance & Operations who will be responsible for delivering high-quality solutions across Finance modules.
- The role involves working closely with clients to understand business requirements, configure and test Finance functionalities, and support solution delivery under the guidance of a Senior Consultant or Functional Lead.
- The candidate should be comfortable working in an implementation, rollout, or support environment.
Soft Skill- Must Have
- Strong FO Finance module knowledge (GL, AP, AR, FA, Bank, Budgeting, Tax)
- End-to-end understanding of P2P, O2C, Cash & Bank, Period Close
- Finance configuration: Posting profiles, Financial Dimensions, Journals, Ledger Setup
- Gap-Fit analysis, FRD/BRD/FDD documentation
- Data migration for financial modules (opening balances, TB)
- UAT support, training, and user communication
- Basic cross-functional knowledge (Procurement, Inventory, Projects)
- Good communication and stakeholder management with Finance teams
Technical Skill- Must Have
- Electronic Reporting (ER) setup
- Power BI exposure for financial reporting
- Integration understanding with CRM, payroll, banking, etc.
- Exposure to D365 FO + Power Platform scenarios
Job Role
- Lead end-to-end implementations of Microsoft Dynamics NAV / D365 Business Central, focusing on Finance modules (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash & Bank, Budgeting, Taxation, Consolidation).
- Conduct workshops, gather business requirements, and prepare detailed documentation (FRD, FDD, BRD, Gap-Fit Analysis, Solution Documents).
- Translate business needs into functional specifications and work closely with technical/development teams.
- Configure, test, and deploy financial modules and related integrations.
- Ensure proper data migration and reconciliation of financial balances from legacy systems.
- Provide leadership to the functional team – guide, review, and mentor consultants and trainees.
- Deliver user training, UAT support, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Act as the client-facing lead for Finance workstream – ensuring smooth communication and stakeholder management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on integrations with third-party systems.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, taxation, and audit requirements in Finance processes.
- Support pre-sales efforts, including client demos, solutioning inputs, and proposal support when required.
Candidate Profile
- Strong domain background in Finance & Accounts (M.Com / MBA Finance / CA Inter preferred).
- Minimum 12 full-cycle implementations in D365 FO / AX Finance modules.
- Hands-on experience in Finance configuration, process mapping, and testing.
- Basic understanding of Procurement & Sourcing and Project Accounting processes.
- Exposure to Reporting tools (Management Reporter, Power BI) preferred.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and client interaction abilities.
- Ability to work independently on smaller modules and collaboratively within a team.
- Eagerness to learn and grow into a senior consultant role.
- Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate (preferred).
