The client is a leading global telecom operator with a strong footprint across India, operating in all 23 telecom circles. With services built on 900 MHz and 1800 MHz GSM technology, the company delivers both voice and data solutions to millions of users. It is recognized among the top three GSM mobile operators in the country, maintaining a presence in 71 cities through 78 branch offices. As of 2010, the organization served 23.94% of India’s total 444 million mobile subscribers and employed more than 10,000 people across the nation.

Challenges

The client faced several hurdles that limited customer engagement and VAS adoption.

Low customer awareness and adoption of nearly 150 Value Added Services (VAS) such as ringtones, caller tunes, alerts, sports updates, news, stock alerts, and railway bookings.

Existing website showcased a wide range of VAS offerings but lacked engagement, resulting in poor conversions.

Difficulty in creating an impactful customer reach-out strategy for promoting VAS.

Need for an interactive, user-friendly platform where customers could explore and subscribe to services easily.

Solution Provided

To address these challenges, an engaging and intuitive kiosk solution was developed.

Designed and developed a graphics-rich, interactive kiosk application to attract and engage walk-in customers.

Implemented a simple and intuitive user interface to help customers browse through VAS categories effortlessly.

Enabled instant VAS activation directly from the kiosk through integration with the client’s existing web services.

Delivered flexibility to the client with an admin console to manage the VAS offerings.
