One of India’s leading general insurance companies sought to transform its Pre-Policy Checkup (PPC) process. This critical step, verifying customer health details before policy issuance, was burdened by manual effort, outdated systems, and slower turnaround times, limiting operational efficiency and customer experience.

Challenges

While the insurer had a strong market presence, its Pre-Policy Checkup (PPC) process was weighed down by structural and operational hurdles that slowed efficiency and strained resources:

Non-standalone PPC Module: The PPC module was tightly coupled with other systems, causing frequent performance lags and slower processing.

Underwriting Delays: Manual interventions and system inefficiencies led to delays in policy approvals, directly impacting business timelines.

Manual Dependency: Heavy reliance on third-party health vendors introduced complexity, inconsistencies, and higher error risk.

Shared Databases: A shared database architecture across applications created execution bottlenecks and reduced overall system stability.

Month-End Bottleneck: High processing volumes at month-end demanded extended IT support, often round-the-clock, to keep operations running smoothly.

Solution Provided

To overcome these challenges, we designed and implemented a custom standalone platform with its own dedicated database, ensuring seamless and independent operations.

Automation & Scheduling:Implemented automated schedulers for data synchronization across multiple systems, reducing manual interventions by 90%.

Seamless Integrations:Enabled secure and reliable connectivity with third-party medical vendors and internal applications, cutting data handover delays.

Technology Upgrade: Migrated from ASP.NET to .NET Core with Angular, delivering faster performance, improved scalability, and a modern user experience.
